Slow Cooker Barbecue Beef Ribs

Slow Cooker Barbecue Beef Ribs

Slow Cooker Barbecue Beef Ribs are tender, juicy, and packed with rich barbecue flavor. Cooked low and slow, the ribs become fall-apart tender and are finished in a smoky, tangy sauce, making them perfect for an easy family dinner or casual gathering.

Ingredients: 3 pounds beef ribs, 1 cup barbecue sauce, 1 small onion sliced, 3 cloves garlic minced, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 1 teaspoon paprika, 1 teaspoon chili powder, ½ teaspoon black pepper, ½ teaspoon salt, and ½ cup beef broth or water.

To prepare the ribs, pat them dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, paprika, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over the ribs.

Place the sliced onion and minced garlic in the bottom of the slow cooker. Arrange the seasoned ribs on top. Pour the beef broth around the ribs, then spoon half of the barbecue sauce over them.

Cover and cook on low for 7–8 hours or on high for 4–5 hours, until the ribs are very tender.

For extra flavor, carefully remove the ribs and place them on a foil-lined baking sheet. Brush with the remaining barbecue sauce and broil in the oven for 3–5 minutes until slightly caramelized.

Serve hot with additional barbecue sauce if desired.
