Praline Crunch

Praline Crunch

Praline Crunch is a sweet, buttery snack or dessert mix made with crunchy cereal coated in a rich caramel praline glaze and finished with pecans. It’s crisp, addictive, and perfect for holidays, gift bags, parties, or anytime you want an easy make-ahead treat.

Ingredients: 6 cups crisp rice cereal or corn cereal squares, 2 cups pecan halves or pieces, ½ cup unsalted butter, 1 cup brown sugar packed, ¼ cup light corn syrup, ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon baking soda, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.

To prepare the praline crunch, preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Place the cereal and pecans in a large mixing bowl and gently toss to combine.

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring constantly, and let it boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the baking soda and vanilla extract. The mixture will foam slightly.

Pour the hot praline mixture over the cereal and pecans. Stir gently but thoroughly until everything is evenly coated.

Spread the mixture evenly onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 45–60 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes to ensure even coating and crispness.

Remove from the oven and allow the praline crunch to cool completely. Break into pieces once cooled.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
