Garlic Butter Steak and Pasta

Garlic Butter Steak and Pasta

Garlic Butter Steak and Pasta is a rich, satisfying meal that combines tender, juicy steak with perfectly cooked pasta tossed in a buttery garlic sauce. This comforting dish is ideal for a hearty dinner and comes together easily with simple ingredients.

Ingredients: 1 pound steak (sirloin or ribeye) cut into bite-size pieces, 12 ounces pasta (such as penne or fettuccine), 4 tablespoons unsalted butter divided, 4 cloves garlic minced, ½ cup heavy cream, ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese, 1 tablespoon olive oil, salt and black pepper to taste, and optional chopped parsley for garnish.

To prepare the pasta, cook it in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving ½ cup of the pasta cooking water.

Season the steak pieces generously with salt and black pepper. Heat the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak in a single layer and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your preferred doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the remaining butter. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened. Add a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.

Return the cooked pasta and steak to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the garlic butter sauce. Heat for 1–2 minutes until everything is warmed through.

Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve immediately.
