Ingredients
1 store-bought flatbread or naan (about 10 inches)
4 oz brie cheese, sliced
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp honey (plus extra for drizzling)
1/4 cup caramelized onions or fig jam (optional)
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Fresh thyme or rosemary, for garnish
Sea salt, to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Brush the flatbread lightly with olive oil on both sides.
3. Place the flatbread on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 4–5 minutes until lightly crisp.
4. Remove from the oven and spread with caramelized onions or fig jam if using.
5. Arrange brie slices evenly over the top.
6. Return to the oven for another 6–8 minutes, or until the brie is melted and bubbling.
7. Drizzle with honey, sprinkle with thyme or rosemary, and finish with a pinch of sea salt.
8. Slice into pieces and serve immediately while warm and gooey.
Notes
Top with prosciutto for a savory-sweet twist.
Add arugula after baking for a peppery contrast.
