Apple Cranberry Coleslaw
Apple Cranberry Coleslaw is a fresh, crisp side dish that combines crunchy cabbage, sweet apples, and tart dried cranberries in a creamy, lightly tangy dressing. It’s a perfect balance of sweet and savory and makes a great addition to picnics, barbecues, or holiday meals.
Ingredients: 4 cups shredded green cabbage or coleslaw mix, 1 large apple cored and thinly sliced or chopped, ½ cup dried cranberries, ¼ cup chopped walnuts or pecans optional, ½ cup mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar, 1 tablespoon honey or sugar, salt and black pepper to taste.
To prepare the coleslaw, place the shredded cabbage, apple, dried cranberries, and nuts if using into a large mixing bowl.
In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, honey or sugar, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss until everything is evenly coated.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to blend. Stir once more before serving and adjust seasoning if needed.
